The inspection and monitoring system of Advanced Manufacturing System(AMS) is a complicated and distributed system. In this paper, it has been researched by means of the Distributed Artificial Intelligence (DAI) technologies. The model of multi agent system and its architecture are presented based on MAS(Multi agent System) environment. The monitoring agent and the management agent are described in the paper. Finally, a test bed for the system has been constructed based on the FMS(Flexible Manufacturing System) and the rationality of the system model has been proved.
