本文讨论对外汉语教师在汉语教学中的重要性的同时,也针对这一现象提出一些对外汉语教师在业务素质和个人素质方面应具备的素质。

In recent years, following the rapid increase of China＇s economy, the field of Chinese language education has risen equaUy fast. All over the world, the number of Chinese learners is growing year by year and the challenge for those in the field of Chinese education is growing greater. The number of people entering this field is ever increasing. This phenomenon has given rise to an uneven playing field that inevitably leads to unprofessional low quality teaching. This thesis first discusses the importance of the teacher＇s role in education and then points out the necessary professional and personal qualities of an effective teacher.
