机制工艺英语作为科技英语的分支,其文本中大量的专业术语、复杂的长句和紧缩的名词化结构等特点常成为翻译中的难点。本文试对机制工艺英语的难点进行探讨,提出"追求术语准确"、"把握英汉差异"、"重视逻辑分析"和"建立批判意识"四个翻译策略。

As a branch of technical English,English for Mechanical Engineering can be quite difficult to translate due to the fact it abounds in technical terms,complex sentences and nominalization structures.This paper explores the difficulties in translating English of Mechanical Engineering,putting forward four strategies to convey accurate information in translation,i.e.,accurate renderings of special terms,acute awareness of English-Chinese differences,careful logical analysis and critical consciousness.
