This paper researched the use and expression of Chinese character adornment element from the necessity,technique of expression,rule and role of using Chinese character adornment element in the residential design,using Chinese character adornment element in the residential design,not only embodied the characteristics and connotation of Chinese culture,but also had artistical times,not only satisfied the appreciation of people and but also showed the essence of Chinese culture.
