Through analysis and application,possibilities and practicalities of applying Photoshop to forestry mapping was explored.After induction and classification on the functions of the Microsoft,the technical routine frame of compil ing existing state forestry map,designing map of the project and effect map of the design,and skills of the soft application have been proposed.The paper has also introduced technical essentials of editing maps and applicable range.
