90年代以后，沈阳市农业进入了新一轮的结构调整时期。受耕地资源减少、粮食供给压力增大和经济作物缺乏区域优势等条件的制约，在保证粮食稳产的前提下，本文对种植业结构调整的潜力进行了分析，得出调整的潜力在于粮食作物内部的结论，并提出了指导思想、调整原则及加大科技投入、积极开发市场、实行产业化生产经营等优化策略。
