How to Run a Periodical with Distinct Features

期刊要办出特色，这是一个老话题。但在新的形势下，为什么要办出特色，办出什么样的特色，怎样办出特色？则是一个新课题。本文结合期刊工作实际，对这些问题又进行了系统的再认识，提出了以质量求生存、以特色求发展和确立质秀于内、姿丰于外、神传于韵的特色要素思路，并对《高等农业教育》期刊特色的构思与实践进行了总结。

Running a periodical with distinct features is an old subject, however, it's gained new significance under the new situation. Why should a periodical be different and in what way can it be mede distinct? This paper made systematic recognition of thase problems and set forward the guideline of surviving with high quality and developing with distinct features. The paper also pointed out that a periodical should be judged by its contents, structure and spirit and summarized the practice and features of the megazine 'Higher Agricultural Education'.
