The Qing Dynasty Leizhou Peninsula and its Officials Anti-corruption Tradition

所谓"清官",即清廉自律、秉公为政之官。雷州半岛在清代涌现出大批清官,他们重操守,绝苞苴,洁身自爱。痛民痛,急民急,爱民若赤。建学校,育士子,着眼长远。这些清官产生的原因在于科举制度的遴选和清初的几代皇帝在吏治上的追求。

The socalled ＂Clean Government＂ means that officials are required to be self-disciplined,fair and square in government.In the Leizhou Peninsula of the Qing Dynasty were many ＂clean＂ government officials.They strongly stick to self-discipline,ready against corruption,cherishing the respect from the people,who needed their care,their worry,and their affection.They built schools,educated the people for the people＇s future benefits.Their clean government was due to the Keju System（imperial examination） and the then Qing Dynasty Emperors＇ inspection of officials.
