共青团高职院校的办学定位分为基本办学定位和核心办学定位两个层面。前者包括性质定位、类别定位、类型定位和层次定位;后者包括办学宗旨定位、发展目标定位、人才培养定位、师资队伍建设定位和专业建设定位。共青团高职院校的办学定位事关学校教育事业全局,必须准确定位,科学发展。
