摘要
本研究以串行加工观和并行加工观的争议为理论背景,探讨学生译员的口译过程中语言转换的时间进程。实验比较读后复述和读后口译两个条件下的自定步速汉语阅读,结果发现两个条件下的阅读没有区别,即都存在结尾效应,但都没有音译词效应。结论是,汉英不平衡双语者在汉译英交替传译中不存在并行加工,意味着语言转换可能是在源语理解完成以后才开始。
Within the context of the debate between the serial view and the parallel view,the present study investigates the time course of language reformulation in the process of interpreting.We conducted a self-paced reading experiment among student interpreters to compare the reading process of Chinese under two conditions: reading for repetition and reading for interpreting.In both reading processes,no facilitation of Chinese transliterated words but wrap-up effect occurred,which indicates that the two comprehension processes are not essentially different.The result suggests that for the unbalanced Chinese-English bilinguals,source language comprehension and language reformulation may not proceed in a parallel but a serial fashion in Chinese-English consecutive interpreting.
