60 Years in Qingdao

新中国年逾花甲了,以20年为一代人计算,现在已是三世同堂了,他们分别是上个世纪50年代出生的,我们叫他们50后,70年代出生的,叫做70后,上世纪末出生的,自然就是90后了。所以,当今的青岛生活中,演绎的是祖孙三代的故事。

The new People's Republic of China has gone through more than 60 years, so is Qingdao.If one counts 20 years as one generation,the current Qingdao tells the story of three generations. It is said that three generations make a noble family.However,until now,there are no real noblemen in Qingdao.There are many rich people, though,living in luxurious houses and driving famous cars,spending money recklessly.But I dare say that they are not noblemen,for it takes more than money to become a nobleman. Culture,manner and education are necessary as well.I think it has to do with the ideology and economic mode of China in the last century that there are hardly any noblemen now.It will have to take another two or three generations before the real noblemen emerge. The people in Qingdao now live between the standard of noblemen and the poor.They are not rich enough to either squander or hide.Thus they are open and poised.They live with a light heart.
