摘要
通过对大量实验数据的分析指出了MPEG-4 FGS标准在低比特面编码方式上存在的不足,并提出针对存在不足的改进方案.该方案对于0、1接近均匀分布的比特面采用直接编码的方法.并将改进后的方法与原始方法进行比较,实验结果表明了改进方案的有效性.
This paper points out the shortage of the coding method for the enhancement layer＇s low bit plane in MPEG-4 FGS standard, and presents a more effective method to overcome the shortage. The method employs direct coding method instead of the original method as to the bit plane where the distribution of 0 and 1 is nearly uniform. Simulation results show the efficiency of the improved methods.
