摘要
针对现有车牌定位算法在复杂背景和不同光照条件下很难快速、准确地定位汽车牌照位置问题,提出了一种基于纹理分析和投影法的车牌定位方法。该方法利用车牌区域字符丰富的纹理特征和投影统计规律对车牌位置进行粗、精两次定位。实验表明在不同光照、不同车型和不同背景条件下,该方法定位速度快、准确率高,具有较高的实用性。
Since it is difficult to locate license plate quickly and precisely under complicated background and different illumination conditions,therefore,this paper proposes a high-speed and precise approach to solve such kind of problem on the basis of texture analysis and projection method.The approach utilizes both rich textural feature and projective statistical feature of characters in LP region to carry out coarse and fine license plate location.The experiment shows that,under different illumination,car models and background conditions,such approach is proved to be fast,precise and practical.
