纵观现当代文学,乡土作家的内心深处自始至终都被乡村文化与城市文化纠结着,而且乡土作家对两种文化还要忍痛作出选择。由于这种选择受到中国社会的现代化和城市化的宰制和牵引,其选择从整个历程上看是从"农村包围城市"到"农村城镇化"的演进过程。

In view of the modem and contemporary literature,the minds of country writers have always been entangled by rural culture and urban culture,and they have suffered a lot from choosing one or the other.Controlled and orientated by the modernization and urbanization of the Chinese society,their choices show the evolution from the ＂encircling cities from rural areas＂ to the ＂rural urbanization＂.
