条件句中的“条件”

On the "Conditional" of Conditional Sentences

自然语言条件句中的条件往往被分析为与逻辑上的实质蕴涵相对应,而且后者往往成为语言学家用来定义条件句的基础。但是仔细分析后会发现,二者差异重重。所以尽管自然语言条件句中的条件对实质蕴涵的逻辑特性有所反映,而且逻辑学家对条件的研究可以给条件句的语言学研究以启示,但是语言学者对条件句的研究不能限于此,而应该从自然语言条件句的丰富现象出发,并以此为基础建立与之相适应的解释机制和理论体系。

The conditional in conditional sentences is often analyzed as the response part of material implications in logic.And the latter often becomes the basis which linguists use to define conditional sentences.However,when we analyze carefully enough,we could find there are a lot of differences between them.Although the conditional in the conditional sentences have reflections of the material implication in logic,and the study on the conditional of the logician can inspire linguistic study of conditional sentences,the study of linguists should not be limited to this.They should explore the conditional sentences based on the abundant phenomena,which can become the basis to establish the responding explanation mechanism and theoretical system.
