Risk Society and Political Ethics

本文通过对"风险"概念之语义发展史的探讨,试图说明风险所指涉的内涵与特征,以及风险议题所触及的社会学所关怀之基本课题。然后揭示"风险"概念在现代社会中逐渐发展成为一个有社会论述正当性之媒介的事实,由此进一步说明"风险"在现代社会中扮演的角色及所可能履行的社会功能。这也使"风险"成为现代政治论述不得不面对的课题,是现代社会进行伦理论述的一个重要媒介。

This paper discusses the development history of ＂risk＂ concept, trying to illustrate the connotation and the features of risk, and the basic issue of sociology involved in the risk. Then, it reveals the fact that the ＂risk＂ concept has gradually developed into a social legitimacy discourse of the medium in modern society, which further explains the role played by the risk concept in modern society and some social functions it performed. So the ＂risk＂ has become an issue that modern politics has to face, and has become an important medium of ethics illustration in modern society.
