西部新建院校图书馆藏建设的突出问题与对策

Outstanding Problems and Counter-measures Concerning the Construction of Library Preservation in Newly-built Colleges and Universities of West China

文献资源建设是大学图书馆为师生服务最核心的载体.当前,西部新建院校馆藏建设存在诸多问题,数量上表现在图书统计总量与实际库存总量的差异、库存总量与学生规模的差距、文献馆藏复本量大方面;质量上表现在纸质图书的载体质量和图书的内容质量方面,为此提出应对策略是:办馆理念与工作思路要全面践行所在大学的办学理念,馆藏建设要突出为教学与科研服务的工作思路.

Document resources construction is a core vehicle in judging the service of a library to the students and teachers in colleges and universities. Currently, there exist too many problems concerning the construction of library preservation in the newly-established colleges and universities. In terms of quantity, there exists a gap between the statistical data and the actual number of books in stock; a gap between the scale of students and books in stock; and a large number of book copies of the same books. In terms of quality, problems are mainly found in the quality o~ paper books and quality in the content. In view of this, the counter measure is that the guiding philosophy of running a library must be kept in tune with the philosophy of run-ning the College and the construction of library preservation should give priority to o/let service for teaching and scientific re- search.
