通过探讨完形语篇的设计特点及解读规律,提出了指导完形语篇解读的三原则,即类比原则:事物倾向于不变;就近解读原则:如有变化,假定变化是最小的;最佳接续原则:语篇词语必须符合语义、语法、语用规则,且与上下文完美匹配,并用实例证明了三个原则对解答完形填空题的切实指导作用。

This paper explores the way the cloze discourse is designed and the discipline it is interpreted. It proposes three principles guiding the cloze discourse interpretation. They are the principle of analogy： things will tend to be as they were before; the principle of local interpretation： if there is a change, assume it is minimal; and the principle of good continuation： discourse items should fit together semantically, grammatically, pragmatically and also coherently. The paper also illustrates how the principles should be applied in practice.
