In this paper, the soils inside the Panzhihua Vanadium Extraction Steel Works were sampled as study objects. The contents of metals such as cadmium, copper, chrome, lead and zinc were determined and the correlation of every metal content and the soil particle size was discussed. The results showed that the maximum contents of copper, chrome, lead, zinc and cadmium appeared in soil samples with smaller particle size(100 meshes or 160 meshes).Besides, the results were compared with soil environment quality standards. The results showed that there were pollutions of cadmium and zinc in soils, meanwhile the contents of rest elements were not higher than the standards.
