Unlike the historical allegory of the fifth generation directors, the sixth-generation directors stretch history to the contemporary time. With cool-headed observation, the sixth generation brought his personal experiences into the movie. Through Im- age Strategy such as focusing on subject matter in the periphery, concerning vulnerable groups, as well as showing solicitude for a number of sub-cultural dimensions, they have effectively broken the official monopoly of historical memory in their discourse of "subversion" and "inclusiveness" and have achieved a photographic narration of history in personal style.
