摘要
徐大明和盖伊对索绪尔的语言/言语理论进行了批判。他们说索绪尔错误地认为没有必要研究"言语",并表示乔姆斯基的语言能力/语言表现的理论是索绪尔的语言/言语理论的翻版。为此,论证了索绪尔认为研究"言语"是有必要的,并阐释了索氏的语言/言语理论与乔氏的语言能力/语言表现理论的主要区别。
XU Da-ming and Gregory Guy censured Saussure for his dichotomy of langue and parole. They think Saussure mistakenly considered studying the latter unnecessary. They also incriminated Saussure with the emergence of Chomsky＇s dichotomous theory of linguistic competence/ performance. It is proved that Saussure deemed studying parole necessary and the major differences between the Saussurean and Chomskyan theories are expounded.
