“他者”解读——翻译的视角

Understanding "Other" from Translation Perspective

"他者"是后现代翻译理论中一个不可或缺的术语。文化翻译观、后殖民主义翻译观、女性主义翻译观都对"他者"进行过不同的阐释。文化翻译观认为,"他者"就是文化之间存在的差异性;后殖民主义翻译观认为,"他者"就是弱势东方;而女性主义翻译观认为,"他者"就是女性自身。列举并评析几种代表性的"他者"论述,藉以透视翻译研究的范式转变过程,这对于当前语境下如何正确对待"他者"具有重要的借鉴意义。

＂ Other＂ is an indispensable term in post-modem translation theory. Cultural translation theory, post-colonial translation theory, feminism translation theory have different interpretation of ＂Other＂. In cultural translation theory, the ＂Other＂ is the cultural differences; In pest-colonial translation theory, the ＂Other＂ is the weak East; while in feminism translation theory, the ＂Other＂ is the women themselves. Some typical ＂Other＂ discourses are listed and commented to show the process of paradigm shift. This is significant to how to properly deal with ＂Other＂ in current context.
