摘要
在区分"部分-整体关系"与"种属关系"的基础上,厘清了提喻的本质,明确了其表现形式,肯定了其认知作用,认为提喻不同于换喻;从认知的角度来看,提喻是一种基于语义包含关系、包容性更广和包容性稍窄的范畴之间的概念转换,表现为以种代属或以属代种。其认知作用主要是通过概念转换,扩大或缩小认知范畴。
Through a differentiation between meronymy and taxonomy,this paper clarifies the definition,the forms and the cognitive function of synecdoche,and believes that synecdoche,from a cognitive point of view,unlike metonymy,is a conceptual transfer based on semantic inclusion between a more comprehensive(genus) and a less comprehensive category(species),which allows the speaker to express his mind indirectly by transferring perspectives from a category at an upper level to one at a lower level or vice versa.
