College counselors play two important roles as pedagogue and administrators,are the mentor and guide for the healthy growth and success of college students.From the reality,this paper focuses on the analysis that a competent college counselor should be student-centered in this stage,make a good job of ideological and political education work,create good class atmosphere and style of study,focus on education of special students,and continue to strengthen its theoretical level and professionalism.
