Taking the observation in the east mountainous slopes of Getatiao air shaft program of Tuanbai coal mine of Huozhou coal and electricity group as the example, the paper illustrates the basic observation methods for the slopes, points out the main point for the slope observation process is the geological investigation, the mapping and the seeking for the sliding part, and slope observation can provide the accurate geological data and play the important role in the indication of the treatment schemes and construction.
