摘要
传统的802.11无线局域网信道接入机制没有提供服务质量保证,限制了许多实时业务在无线局域网中的应用。新的802.11e协议对不同业务进行了区别,提供QoS保证。本文介绍和对比了802.11分布式协调功能和802.11e增强型分布信道接入2种信道接入机制,通过使用网络仿真软件OPNET,对2种信道接入机制下不同业务的吞吐量和延迟进行了仿真分析。结果表明802.11e的EDCA机制有效的提供QoS的差异服务。
The legacy 802.11 WLAN channel access mechanism didn't support QoS,which limited the application of some real time traffic in WLAN.The new 802.11e protocol distinguished different traffic to supported QoS.This paper introduced and compared 802.11 DCF mechanism and 802.11e EDCA mechanism.The throughput and delay of different traffic in both those channel access mechanism were simulated by OPNET.The results showed that the 802.11e EDCA function could effectively provide QoS differentiated service.
