This article makes a summarizable review of functions and characteristics about principal offices in current Chinese colleges and universities.Basis on results of surveys and com-municate with a number of workers in civil colleges and unive-rsities＇ offices,the paper gives some advice on how to strengthen and promote office administration,improve working levels and make the office work better in the new era.
