基督教精神是西方教会法的核心理念和价值追求。教会法是基督教律条在法律上的载体,其演变与基督教在西方社会的命运密切相关。随着基督教进入英国,教会法开始渗透到英国世俗社会中,逐渐形成了教会与世俗社会权力二元制衡的格局。当教会法不再能直接以强制力的形式影响英国世俗法律时,其逐渐转化为英国衡平法中"衡平"、"良心"等思想,内化为英国法律的内在精神。

Christianity is the core ideology and value pursuit of western ecclesiastical law, while ecclesiastical law is legal carrier of Christian principles and practices. In western society, the development and evolvement of Christianity and ecclesiastical law is the same , just with fall with up. As the entrance of Christianity to Britain , ecclesiastical law began to permeate through British secular society, so the pattern of dual balances , between Christianity and ecclesiastical law , is formed gradually in Britain. When ecclesiastical law cannot affect British Secular law directly , it changed into the thoughts of the rule of equity, such as＂ equity＂ ,＂ conscience＂, which internalized the Inner spirit of Britain.
