E. Faber, a German missionary, is a famous sinologist who came to China after the Opium War. Many of his writings reflect his views of education, religion and culture and also show his style of academic achievements and precise attitude, thus promoting the cultural communication of Chinese and Western cultures and pushing ahead China＇s education on the way of modernization.
