A design method of the modem in OFDM system is introduced. The key technique in OFDM is encoding and modulation. The conventional channel encoding is to encode and modulate separately, but Trellis coded modulation implements encoding and modulation as a whole. The simulation results indicate that the design method is effective and practical.
