International Standard Industrial Classification is the most mature,authoritative and influential international standard of the world.Understanding the evolution of mining and quarrying in ISIC is essential to collect,process,calculate the mining and quarrying indicators and compare them between countries.This paper studies the evolution of mining and quarrying industry classification in ISIC,and puts forward some suggestions for improving mining and quarrying industry classification in China.
