Diaryl ketone compounds are an important type of chemical products and pharmaceutical inter- mediates. They are widely used in the fields of pharmacological, paint, electronic and daily chemicals etc. A comprehensive review on the synthesis of diaryl ketone compounds catalyzed by soild acids via Friedel-Crafts acylation is presented.
