Dr. CunDe Xiao, Prof. of Cold and Arid Regions Environmental and Engineering Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences, is serving in the Chinese State Key Laboratory of Cryospheric Sciences. During the 25^th IUGG General Assembly between June 27 and July 8 in Melbourne （Australia）, Dr. CunDe Xiao was elected as one of vice-presidents of Intemational Association of Cryospheric Sciences （IACS）. The position is for period of2011-2015.
