The famous short story The Loons is written by Canadian woman writer Margaret Laurence. This paper,by analyzing the mar-ginalized living circumstances of the Indian Metis girl Piquette, the disappearance of the loons’ natural habitat and the metaphorical relationship between them, tries to reveal the deep suffering of nature and human being caused by the industralized civilization, and the merciless destruction to color people, women and nature brought about by patriarchal culture and its mode of dualism thinking,so as to re? ect the profound conscious-ness of eco-feminism in the story.
