斯里兰卡2010年生产约32.2万吨茶叶,其产量居世界第三,但其出口量位居世界第一。锡兰茶的种植基地仅限于岛国的中央高地和南部低地,茶叶按生长的海拔高度不同分为三类,即高地茶、中地茶和低地茶。锡兰红茶的6大产区包括乌瓦(Uva)、乌达普沙拉瓦(Uda Pussellawa)、努瓦纳艾利(Nuwara Eliya)、卢哈纳(Ruhuna)、坎迪(Kandy)和迪不拉(Dimbula),各产地因海拔高度、气温、湿度的不同,均有不同特色。锡兰红茶价格与其他各国价格相比较高,一年内茶叶价格也会出现波动。
In 2010,the output of tea in Sri Lanka reached 0.322 million tons,ranking the 3rd in the world,but the country led the world in tea export.Ceylon Tea,with its plantation bases limited to the Island's central highlands and southern lowlands,is divided into 3 categories of high grown,middle grown and low grown tea,according to different growing altitudes.The top 6 plantation areas include Uva,Uda Pussellawa,Nuwara Eliya,Ruhuna,Kandy and Dimbula,where tea of different characteristics is produced due to the difference in altitude,temperature and humidity.Ceylon Black Tea has had the highest price among all the tea around the world,and the price has fluctuations during the year.
