New RSSI-based Routing Protocol in Wireless Sensor Networks

摘要 把RSSI(Received Signal Strength Indication)测距技术引入到无线传感器网络的路由策略中,形成一种新型路由协议.该协议能有效减少节点能耗,从而增加了无线传感器网络的寿命.在NS2平台上,分别对LEACH协议和新型路由协议行了仿真.结果表明:新型路由协议下的网络寿命比LEACH的长;当网络工作在低负载的情况下,该新型协议的单位能耗下数据接收量比LEACH的要大. This paper proposes a new routing protocol in wireless sensor networks by implementing the ranging technique in the routing procedure. The new routing protocol can effectively reduce the energy consumption of nodes in wireless sensor networks and the life of these networks can be significantly extended. We compared the new protocol with the well-known LEACH protocol through simulations on the NS2 platform. It was shown that the new protocol yields a longer network life and the new protocol can outperform the LEACH protocol in terms of the data-energy efficiency in the low network load situation.
