科技笔译教学存在的问题与对策

Problems and Measures in EST Translation Teaching

阐述了理工科大学开展科技笔译教学的重要意义,指出了目前科技笔译教学中普遍存在的文体形式单一、专业选材不当以及变体训练匮乏的问题;提出了解决这些问题的授课思路:引领学生从科普文章入门,做分门别类的专业基础翻译,以变译理论为指导进行文本变体的翻译训练。

This paper aims to explore an effective teaching method of the translation of English for Science and Technology （EST） for universities of science and technology. Given the diversity of EST texts and undergraduates＇ prior knowledge, the author points out that EST translation practice should be started with common English for science and technology, and then be done from one technical field to another. Being familiar with basic translating techniques, students should also be guided to translate various EST texts under the guidance of Translation Variation Theory.
