It was learned from Beijing Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision that Beijing＂s first 3 local standards regarding Technical Requirements for Safety and Protection of Taxis would come into effect on August 1st. These standards focus on fighting against highjack and theft, with the aim to build a ＂firewall＂ for taxis throughout Beijing.
