A Study on Assessment for Bank Performance via PCA and AHP

本文分析了主成分和层次分析法的优缺点,提出结合运用两种方法,更好发挥两者优势、互补不足,并以2008年14家上市银行的数据为例证,对其主要能力及综合实力排序,为投资者提供一定的择股投资依据,也为公司本身的经营决策提供一定的依据。

This article aims at comparing merits and drawbacks of PCA and AHP＇s in order to reveal a new idea that can exert merits of PCA and AHP＇s and eliminate their drawbacks. Moreover, it takes the statistcs of 14 publicly traded banks as an example and shows the ranks of 14 banks based on some major indexes. Via above-mentioned analysis, it can offer the investors the basis for investment and provide the managers with criterion on improvement.
