Assessment of Marine Economic Development in the 11th Five-year Plan Period

"十一五"时期是我国经济社会发展取得重大成就的五年,也是我国海洋事业实现跨越式发展的五年。五年来,我国海洋经济经受住了国内外经济环境的严峻考验,在产业结构调整、区域优化布局和战略性新兴产业发展等方面迈出了可喜的步伐,海洋经济现已成为带动东部地区率先发展、构建开放型经济的有力支撑。总结五年来海洋经济发展的各项工作,不仅对于编制"十二五"海洋经济发展规划具有重要的现实意义,而且对于今后健全完善海洋经济管理、更好地服务海洋经济发展具有深远的影响。

The l lth Five-year Plan Period is a period of five years when China s economic and social development has achieved significant success and China s marine cause has accomplished its development with leaps and bounds. Over these five years, China s marine economy has withstood revere tests of economic environment both at home and abroad, and made gratifying steps in the adjustment of industrial structure, optimized regional layout and development of strategic emerging industries, as a result of which, marine economy has become a powerful support for bringing along the eastern region to develop first and constructing an open economy. Summing up the various work in the marine economic development is not only of important practical significance to the formulation of the ＂12th Five-year Plan＂ marine economic development plan, but also of profound influence on improving and perfecting the marine economic management and better serve the marine economic development in the future.
