生活在汉景帝至汉武帝时期的汲黯,鲜明反映出从黄老之术到儒术独尊转变过程中的变化。在治政之策上,他采用黄老之术,无为而治,且行之有效;在为臣之道上,他恪守儒家大义,忠君事主,其心可昭。面对这样的一位有"异己"思想的忠诚直臣,汉武帝表现出了既欣赏又疏远的态度。

Ji An who lived in the period of the reign of Emperor Jing to Emperor Wu in the Han dynasty. His idea reflected the transformation process of ruling ideology from Huang-Lao Tzu to Confucianism in this period. On the political governance methods, Ji An advocated Huang-Lao Tzu, governing by Non-Intervention, and received effective results; as a minister, he adhered to Confucian doctrine, being loyal to the Monarch, and was respected by Emperor Wu. Because of his devoted atti- tude, he was appreciated by Emperor Wu, on the other hand the Emperor estraoged and kept him away for his upright character.
