有些传统的语法著作关于被动语态的讲解对中国英语学习者存在一定的误导,致使许多英语学习者认为主动语态可以任意转换为被动语态,而且被动语态是依赖主动语态而产生的一种语法结构。综合国内外许多语法学家对这一问题的详细解释,阐述了主动语态在转换为被动语态时受到谓语动词的构成、动词语意、句子结构和使用频率等因素的影响,两者不能随意转换。

In some traditional English grammar books in China, there is some inexplicit information about the transformation from English active voice to the passive voice. Many learners regard the passive voice as depended on the aetives, and transform the actives into passives in any conditions. This paper makes a detailed explanation to this question, citing many famous grammarians. It concludes that the transformation between the active voice cate, meanings of verbs, and the passive voice is influenced by such factors as the composition of the predisentence structures and frequency of use.
