东胜卫的设置及其生产方式研究

明初为了加强对北疆地区的军事统治,政府当局设立了大量卫所,东胜卫便是其中一卫。它设置于故元东胜州地区,地理位置十分重要,故,明朝和北元政权在此展开一系列角逐。明朝在争夺斗争中,军事上并未显示出特别突出的优势,致使东胜卫出现两次设置和内迁。由于两次设置兵源的不同,致使东胜卫生产方式发生明显转变,初置之时以牧业生产为主,复置时以农业生产为主。
