“两种文化”冲突的根源探析

A Study of the Root of the Conflict between "Two Cultures"

随着近代科学的崛起,人类文化有了科学与人文的典型划分,由此揭开了二元文化冲突斗争的历史,至20世纪上半叶"两种文化"的冲突达到了顶峰。为了促进二者的融合,"两种文化"冲突的根源则成为现代人关注的重要课题。研究指出,事实与价值的二元划分,是科学与人文对立的哲学基础;科学与教育的高度专门化、专业化,加大了科学文化与人文文化之间的裂缝;科技理性的扩张和科学主义与人文主义的对立,使"两种文化"的冲突不可避免。

The culture of human society was naturally divided into ＂science＂ and ＂humanities＂ with the full development of modem science and thus the conflict between the two types of culture came into being, which rose to its climax in the early half of the 20th century. To balance the two poles, much focus now is put on digging out the causes for the conflict. This paper states that the conflicting state of troth and value is the philosophical groundwork for the two cultures. The high degree of specialization in science and education makes the two cultures further apart. The strengthening scientific reasoning and the conflicting state between scientism and humanism leave no space for the conciliation of the two.
