The Characteristics and Change of Spring Festival Custom in Hunan Province

在漫长的历史时间里,湖南春节习俗和国内其它地区的春节习俗相互影响,相互吸收,有着许多共同的地方,但它作为东南内陆的一个省份,也呈现出一些地域性特征,具体而言有:鲜明的江南水稻文化特色,强烈的祈丰年目的,丰富多彩的游艺活动,同一民俗事象的外部形态具有多样性与变异性以及多民族的春节习俗相互辉映,相互影响等特点。

Hunan Spring Festival custom has been interacting with the custom in other districts in China, and they share some in common. But Hunan, located in south of China, has its local features covering distinct paddy culture, strong desire for harvesting, and colorful recreational activities. The same custom will be displayed in different forms and different customs from different minorities will affect each other. But unfortunately some of them have lost their uniqueness in the 21st century.
