Conceiving of application of metabonomic techniques in research of deficient syndromes of zang and fu

代谢组学作为系统生物学的一个分支近年来发展迅速。代谢组学的在体观察、代谢产物检测及动态观测等方法与中医学"整体观念"、"辨证论治"的思维模式具有吻合性。以代谢组学为技术手段,以病证结合的方式对脏腑虚证进行研究,重视相关证候之间的比较研究,从临床病例和动物模型2个层次开展研究,将有助于明确脏腑虚证的本质,构建具有实用价值的证候诊断标准,并最终实现中医证候的现代化。

As a branch of systems biology, metabonomics has developed rapidly in the recent years. The methods used in metabonomics such as on-body observation, detection of metabolin and dynamic viewing share some coincidence with the ideas of holism and syndrome differentiation and treatment in TCM in the respective of thinking patterns. We think, with the application of metabonomic techniques, if the research of deficient syndromes of zang-fu viscera could be based on the combination of disease and syndrome, and carried out in both clinic cases collection and animal experiments, it might be possible to clarify the property of syndromes and draw up diagnostic standards of syndromes, and moreover to bring about the modernization of TCM in further.
