This paper mainly from hydropower actual situation of the hydropower station mechanical and electrical equipment condition monitoring and fault diagnosis of, definition and characteristics described, and the existing fault diagnosis technology research and application are analyzed, noting that future hydroelectric generating fault diagnosis should be the focus of research direction.
