The principle of free-station and its accuracy evaluation is analyzed.The accuracy formula of the monitoring on foundation using free-station is derived.Based on monitoring of a certain foundation,through comparing the method of free-station and monitoring coordinate which is current commonly used,then we can get that the method of using free-station on monitoring foundation can fully meet the specification and has practical value.
