For the past two decades, cumulative evidences from the lesion, pharmacological and electrophysiological studies have implicated cerebellar cortex as the locus crucial for acquisition, retention and performance of classically conditioned eyeblink responses （CRs）. Here, we reviewed recent progresses in the functions and mechanisms of cerebellar cortex during the acquisition, retention and performance of Crs.
