阿吉·热合曼是著名的维吾尔舞蹈表演艺术家、编导家,在舞蹈表演与创作中,他继承传统、广采博收、推陈出新、成绩卓著。他一生创作了舞蹈、舞剧作品47部,其中有15部获奖,培养一批又一批的维吾尔舞蹈艺术家。他编制维吾尔舞蹈基训组合,对新疆维吾尔舞蹈教育学科的规范化、科学化建设,有着奠基性的作用。
